On 29th July in Parma, at the Governor’s Palace, the Tenuta di Aljano winery received a coveted award.
The accolade in question was the “EXCELLENCE” award bestowed by the Guida Emilia Romagna da Bere e da Mangiare (Guide to Food and Drink in Emilia-Romagna) 2013/2014 edition, coordinated by the Emilia-Romagna section of the Italian Association of Sommeliers: “Rio delle Viole” Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 D.O.P. was included in the Guide’s shortlist of “Excellent” wines.
Tenuta di Aljano follows the principles of organic farming; in addition to international varieties such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot, it also grows typical local varieties like Spergola, an autochthonous white grape of ancient origins.
In the previous edition of the Guide to Food and Drink in Emilia-Romagna 2012/2013, Tenuta di Aljano received the “EXCELLENCE” award for the still white wine “La vigna ritrovata” 2011 D.O.P.
